Here's a really nice '21 Morgan I picked up today for $25.00. I thought it was going to take me much longer to VAM it then it actually took. Let's see if you can attribute it. I shot it so that all the pick ups are clearly visible. Now have some fun!!
I've been having a lot of fun with 21's this (last) year as well. Is see the die breaks but I'm not sure if you have it as the -1 or -2 die state. It kind of looks like a tweener.
From what i gathered up inside of my currently inebriated mind its a 3k2. I love these threads because they remind me how much i love '21 Morgan vams!!
I looked at it this morning. Love the die cracks. Those die breaks aren't all the way there, are they?
Let's see if @Cascade or @SuperDave or @messydesk want to chime in. I'm on the fence as to what exactly to call it. The cracks are certainly more substantial that the 3K1, making me think it's a early die state of 3K2. @Dave Waterstraat is right there with me, it's a tweener. Is the die chip in the G of GOD on the reverse present on the 3K1?
It looks like there's a little chunk of die missing where the cracks come together left of the 3rd star, so I'd call it VAM 3K2. The picture of the VAM 3K2 closeup on VAMWorld is of a circulated coin, which make die breaks and chips look larger. VAM 3K1 exists to catalog just the scribble scratches.
Thanks for that info. I was wondering about that. My coin for sure has chips missing at those junctions, just smaller than the VW images show. Yet it is certainly more advanced than the the 3K1.
