I have this full-step 1944 D war nickel. However, it is a Doubled (or two inches) Mint Mark but not on the holder. Check out the photos. Anyway, how much is this worth (I paid $50), and should I get it re-slabbed to identify the error?

Leave it the way it is.. Might be a slight RPM - Repunched Mint Mark and not Doubled. RPM's are not considered Mint Errors but instead a Variety. By the way.. Doubled Die issues are also Varieties, not Mint Errors.
As Rick above has given you the link to varietyvista.com to check as all war nickels are some sort of variety...the 43 P there's over 70 known rpm's alone! I see yours is a 44D go to the site and match up your coin to the listings.
I wouldn't un unless it is an unknown rpm. What is the grade? Can you show pics of front and back? The whole coin and the slab
