The list of winners was just announced. I always look forward to seeing this list, and spending an afternoon flipping through the remarkable sets. There are some familiar names on here, and some fantastic sets. Congrats to everyone! https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/news/ViewArticle.aspx?IDArticle=6361 I am pleased to accept the honor for Best Presented Set, for my prooflike type set. You can see my set here: https://coins.www.collectors-societ...SetListing.aspx?PeopleSetID=98228&Ranking=all
I think the Stiel Collection is @Hugh Stiel who I haven't seen post in awhile but used to wow us in the Newest acquisition thread. Congrats if that's you Hugh!
Congrats Jason, Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this your second Best Presented Set Award? I recall your Poe Collection of Franklin Halves winning this prestigious award a few years ago. If so, you may be the only person to have racked up two of these awards in this category. Bravo! PS: For those unfamiliar with Gregg Bingham's registry set of Early Commemoratives, please check it out, you will not be disappointed. His collection is my favorite of all time.
lol I didn't even see the bottom part of the OP I clicked the link and stopped reading. Congrats to you as well physics fan, your set is incredible. I can't believe some of the coins you've found in PL. Favorite has to be that 1880 10C, just beautiful.
Yes, @Lehigh96, I won in 2008 for my Franklin set (that was a long time ago!) There have been several Registry folk who have ranked in the top 5 more than once, but I'm the only one to win First Place twice.
I always enjoy looking at Gregg Bingham’s commen set. I met him at the ANA show in Chicago and he is very passionate about the hobby and had a fascinating conversation.
