i found this 2013 p that has the FG more spaced out and smaller then usual. Last photo is normal I’m wondering if it could be like how the Wams occur
If memory serves me, I do believe that's the basic story regarding WAMs, yes. I also see what you mean on your coin, but it would take much more than one less than ideal photo of a single coin to make such a case imo. The basic concept behind Occam's Razor should apply here...
Here it is - Definition of Occam's razor - a scientific and philosophical rule that entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily which is interpreted as requiring that the simplest of competing theories be preferred to the more complex or that explanations of unknown phenomena be sought first in terms of known quantities Got it?
It's basically that the most likely explanation is also the right one. In this case, what would better explain what we're seeing: that a PR die was somehow used, or that it's the result of a striking issue.
What would the striking issue be? And I mean that’s what happened on the 2000,1999,1998 Wide AM cents
Have you yet come across a thread where someone is insisting they've found a 1992 close AM simply because they've found another of the same date minutely wider spacing? Perhaps not the best example, but will hopefully clarify the point.
Yea that’s true I’ve seen those a lot. But it’s not just the spacing. The size looks much smaller and thinner. I’m not really sure what it’s about
No, I understand and even took the time to compare a few photos before posting. However, I guess my greater point is that this one example isn't enough to make the case presented. The issue in question is very small unlike said WAMs, but still, if you could find coins from the same die displaying the anomaly, while still not conclusive, let's just say it wouldn't hurt any.
I do believe that this is a certain die characteristic. The LB has a certain fatness to it, which is most likely due to the die itself. Die deterioration is also gonna be a factor. Do you have a proof cent? If so, take a photo so that we can compare the coins under the same magnification and lighting. PS I don't see anything that will be of significant value at this point, they are to close to compare.
