Hey ya’ll. Posted in this forum earlier. Seeking your wisdom again.

    Later that night...

Continuing the process I came across this 1914-S which was the second oldest coin in the lot. A google search tells me it’s part of the “semi key dates”.

Seems pretty good for 1914 but I’m new to this. By looking at the pictures attached, do you think this something worth getting graded? Just trying to understand what I have and how to take care of it.

    Thanks in advance!

Nice find, but not worth grading. The scratches on it will net a damaged grade. A slab with this designation is commonly referred to as a body bag. The fees alone will be more than the coin is worth.

    VG-08 with damage.
$25 without damage. $15-$20 with. If I was in the market, I would pay as much as $15. In a good grade (AU) this a $100+ coin.
