    I have recently been gifted a box of old coins and within that box was this coin..was wondering if it was real and possibly how much it would be worth.. i am new to this site..thankyou for taking the time to look

    From the photographs shown I would say it is a copy.
    It looks very flat a grainy.
    What does it weigh ?
    Can we see the edge.

    If it was real its a $4000-$5000 coin

    Is this coin real or fake..i have been gifted a boz of old coins and this was in the box. I was wondering if someone could clarify if it is real or fake... the coin weighs 21grams

  9. Looks to be a cast fake. Surface is just all kinds of wrong and the rim is not consistent with the rest of the coin. The mold line appears to be the rim of the reverse.
    Also it is light. Crowns from that period should be around 30g.
