Its a Kushan Empire coin from the Afganistan/Pakistan Region Kanishka I 130-158 A.D. Kashmir Series Obv: Kind Standing, facing left, sacrificing at altar Rev: MAO standing, facing left, arm outstreched I read that it might be a Quarter-Unit of an unknown denomination. Does anybody know anything else about it, or what it could be worth?
Probably $15-$20, maybe more. There aren't any specimens on coinarchives worth mentioning, I believe it to be common. Update: vcoins has numerous specimens, ranging in price from 20 to 65 dollars (those above 35 or so are exceptionally well preserved). It appears that size is a factor in attribution - get a ruler and let me know! apx 26mm - tetradrachm apx 21mm - didrachm apx 18mm - drachm
