hello everyone and thank you for the add to the site. I recently came across a 1923 silver certificate and I was looking for more information on it. I don’t believe it to be rare, but maybe where it was printed and such. I haven’t been able to find info online. It’s in uncirculated condition. It almost has a radar serial number.
Welcome to Coin Talk @Thebeard1978 Your note is a Fr.237 and printed in Washington DC. An ultra popular large size Silver Certificate Ace and easily available in any grade. This was among the last printed and circulating large size notes before we converted to small size. Values for uncirculated examples run anywhere between $80 - $125 depending on the grade.
Thank you very much for your help. It was an unexpected Christmas gift this year. Nice addition to the collection.
