I have a 1985 penny that have a 1935 date

    You have a 1985 cent that took a hit on the "8" in the date, and had other rough treatment.

    Look to the left at the '3'. You can see where there was likely metal that it was a '8', so this only now appears to show a 1935 date. It was not minted that way and it is pmd.

    1985 Cents are Copper Plating Zinc and they have strange issues on the Lettering and Numerals. Just a plating bubble on the number 8 with a combination of circulation wear and tear :yack:
