Okay my second 4 boxes for this week also all skunks, that is 8 in a row, I predict another 4 box skunk tomorrow! I would be nice if they have silver, I just have this feeling this will be my first year to end with a skunk streak. We will see.

 

The bank where I usually get boxes had 50 rolls ok.
But no box. She put them in a bag. Going to make it fun when Trish or my bank buys them.

 

Been gone for a long time due to personal reasons, but I am back now... wanted to show you all what I recently found in a box of nickels...

 

Yup... bagged a 50-D nickel a month and a half ago to complete my CRH Jefferson set!

Pfft. I would never spend an SBA. I can't stand little dollar coins. If they want a coin to be worth a buck, make it big!

However, I do spend halfs and Toms all over the place. Those are my primary denominations. No one else uses them, and it gives me an way to get rid of non-silver halfs. (There are no free coin machines near me.)

Plus, since I'm the only one that uses them, the merchants get to know when I've been to their shop/restaurant and recognize me as a repeat client.

Same here. I'm the "guy who spends halves" at the coffee shop.

The highlight of yesterdays rolls was a 1946S.
It's pretty clean as far as dings but rather dirty.
Perhaps it will get acetone.

Went through my motor bank asking for halves. Teller didn’t have any but another teller overheard and interrupted saying she had $10. Bought them and look what I got. Two 40%ers and a 1987-D!

 

About $120 in halves... nothing.

 

Got my last boxes of halves and cents for the week:
4 boxes of skunk halves. Last 2 boxes gave up 87x40%ers, 6x64P Kens. There were 15 Enders between the 2 boxes (I missed one in each box).

Total: 15.04oz. Not too shabby A pretty good way to end the year

 

10 in halves- 1 Beautiful 1964! I almost never get 90% so I'm happy
