Restrikes are quite obvious as the details are much sharper. If I recall correctly, they were struck on plated steel. You can see why I hate duplicate threads - I vote for the threads to be merged.

Yes, it is not a common coin. 1933 / AH1352. Crude overstrike on another Sinkiang coin. You can see the flags from the original coin coin on the reverse. Maybe Y# A41.1 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_East_Turkestan_Republic This is listed in Xinjiang Numismatics as issued as "by the bogus Islamic Republic of Eastern Turkestan" #575 The first coin in post #7 is from the same period issued under the name of Uighuristan Republic. Listed in Xinjiang Numismatics as "by the bogus Republic of Uygurstan" #574. The XN description states "that the regime supported itself by issuing an inconsiderable quantity of silver and copper coins so as to put up a show".
