I checked wexler site and couldn't match it up . So I'm thinking it's a new one . http://www.doubleddie.com/2318537.html
Hey Rick this gave me an idea to check out my 2017 P cents (i have 2 of them) and since this Christmas I got a magnifier strong enough to see anything I think I may have found one the doesn't match one on Wexlers site, the other one I'll talk about later, sorry I can't PM you about this because I can't attach photos to PM so would you mind if I posted them here? Thanks, Jacob
Thanks Rick here it is- I also have more pictures and I know your good at this stuff Rick so Thanks! Thanks, Jacob
Moderate thickness at the upper left side of Y in liberty and the 0 in date seems to have that odd oval shape from slight doubling. Thanks, Jacob
That would be sweet, it would be my first Doubled Die. I'll try and get better pics tonight. Thanks, Jacob
Shoot! Just when I think I can tell the difference between DD and MD... I see these and just can't see any notching. Help me out guys. Steve
Thanks, Rick. I went to Google, found a couple of discussions, including one from last January here on CT. At this early stage in my learning about errors (to alter a quote by Jefferson: "Although an old man I am but a young coin collector") I agree with @desertgem that this seems like die chatter rather than the pre-single squeeze hubbing DDs. But I also agree with his stance that everyone is entitled to collect what they like. Perhaps some day there'll be a designation such as SSH-DDO. Steve
Hey Jacob. That coin has signs of verdigris at the date/mintmark. This is the classic entry point for the start of zinc rot. Verdi-Care is a great product to put rot in check. I just mention this as this coin is one you’ll keep. Reed.
