Buffalo Nickel head on both sides!!?

    It looks like a mold of some kind, the image doesn't follow a buffalo nickel. Liberty is backwards and looks incuse?
    Very interesting.

    Not a US nickel - possibly a
    lead impression of an obv.of a nickel
    on both sides, but not a mint product
    in any way.

    Possibly a poor quality contemporary counterfeit. As Fred said a lead disk squeezed between two coins. I have seen others like this, but usually they did manage to make them have both a heads and a tails instead of the same on both sides.
