I am thinking on making some purchases, and want to consult with you guys first. No pics unfortunatly, but it is a good dealer online I think, and they say I can return the coins if they are in the original 2x2s. Basically I want to ask you guys if this is a fair price. These are what I am thinking about buying: 1910 -- MS 64 -- $31.00 1910S -- AU -- $65.95 1911 -- AU -- $9.95 1911D -- XF -- $41.50 1911S -- XF -- $60.50 Or if I buy all 5 they say they'll only charge me $189.00 plus $5 shipping and insurance. Does this sound fair? All opinions will be appreciated. Thanks a lot! Phoenix
Just so I can be a smart butt....are those quarters dimes nickels or cents? lol I would wager cents and they dont seem to bad by name alone.
While they seem a bit on the high side to me, I see nothing wrong with the prices, in and of themselves -- IF THE COINS ARE ALL THERE. However, I would be concerned that the coins were either a) not accurately graded, or b) cleaned or otherwise messed with. Hope this helps...Mike
if these are Licoln cents... 1910 MS64 - slightly lower than retail 1910S AU - retail price 1911 AU - retail is $9.00 1911D XF - over retail 1911S XF - below retail i think some of these coins won't quie grade out, like the XF ones. i would want to evaluate them before i lock in - even with the $20.00 savings of buying all 5 - if you can get a return option, that would be best. -Steve
Over or under retail, the prices may be far outdated. They have been moving like crazy on the grey sheet.
Assuming that they are Lincolns; Color makes a big difference for Lincolns. $30 for the 1910- is out and out cheep if it is red, a good price if it is red/brown (varying with color of coarse), and maybe even high for a brown. My graysheet shows the rest of the prices are in line.
Ooh, do I feel like an idiot. Sorry guys, yes they are Lincoln cents. Man my minds been in a real loupe lately (pun intended ) The dealer is grassmick coins if anyone has any insight on them. Seem to be pretty fair. And yes, they do have a 1 week return policy if I don't like the coins. So if I purchase them I guess I'll have to wait and see. Has anyone heard or done business with them? Thanks for the help so far guys. And rlm, I asked about the color of the 1910, and am waiting to hear back from them on it. Thanks guys! Phoenix
Never heard of the dealer Phoenix but read the fine print carefully. Make sure they don't have a restocking fee if you want to return them and consider shipping costs as well of course. Both ways if necessary.
Graysheet prices for Nov 9 2007 Bid 1910 -- MS 64 -- $25.00 1910S -- AU -- $58.00 1911 -- AU -- $8.00 1911D -- XF -- $40.00 1911S -- XF -- $60.00
