This was a "gift" to my mother December 25, 1941.
This picture was taken later (1963).

Every year around Christmas she would look at me and say, "You made me miss a Christmas dinner!" :D

No coins for me, but a neat add-on for my phone camera. :)

My son got some quarter books and 3 rolls of quarters from santa. He opened up his first roll of quarters and out popped a 2000-S Proof Massachussetts quarter. I've searched tens of thousands of dollars worth of quarters and have found maybe 2. This kid on his first roll pulls one. Proud/happy/jealous all at the same time.

Unfortunately you can't see the reverses of the coins because they are shielded by thin paper and the 43 is reprocessed.

This is a nice book with a slot for every country. :p

    Sack-o-world coins.

And some clothes with some stocking stuffers and warm boots. Have a merry Christmas!

I really didn’t get a Christmas coin this year (which I buy for myself). Saving some ammo for the FUN show auction which is just around the corner.

My wife, though, did buy me a gift certificate from ToughCoins, which will be put to good use!:p

This is a coin I received from my future son-in-law (I hope so). He is also a collector. The coin is an 1899 Liberty.

Happens. I got to have a Thanksgiving Day in hospital due to someone wanting out of my belly! I had won a turkey and could not even enjoy it. My friends loved it though! Hard on kids having to compete with holidays for school-age birthday parties.

It's a combination of a macro lens (15x) and a wide angle lens (100-140°), plus a flash light which can be charged via USB. So far I have tried it out very briefly only - basically it works. :) Do a search for "phone camera lens", and you'll find a couple ...

I understand the "Microscope 60x" part, but what does the "currency detecting" part mean? Isn't a microscope a microscope, no matter what you're looking at with it?
