I was able to figure out to get real nice pics with my camera, so I took the time to snap some shots of my coins. Here is my 09 VDB, could I get some of your grade opinions please? If these aren't good enough pics please let me know. Here it is, and tell me what ya think:

Thanks guys! In hand I personally grade it a 65, no marks apparent except under magnification, there is a hit under America on the obverse which doesn't show up in the pics, but no real biggie. Best part of it I think is I only paid $12 for it, dealer had it marked AU, but after examining it myself I don't see any wear, but a bit of weakness in the hair, but I'm pretty sure it's just weak. Thanks guys!

Okay, thanks for the opinions! Now the only problem with htis coin is this coin has some nice toning on it, but not real sure about it. Those pics have been untouched by me at all, but the toning didn't come out in them because of the lighting I used I guess. Found this old pic of it where the toning show up in it. Note, the coins toning still isn't coming out perfectly in the picture, now it's a little more intense, but a bit of a more honest pic I would think. Any new grade opinons? Here is the pic of the obverse:

And no, it might seem it in the pics, there is no wear on the coin, still don't know why this darn thing isn't photographing right. All help will be appreciated.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I do not believe the color to be natural.

Purple/blue on red copper is something to be wary of. While I've seen this color on natural copper before, I have found it much more likely to be the result of doctoring/conservation. In addition the RD color looks a bit off....although that could be the photo.

Respectfully submitted as my humble opinion only...Mike

p.s. I would grade the coin MS details, cleaned/recolored, net AU. For $12 you didn't do too bad.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking to be honest. Although, that toning still is coming out a little harsh in the pics. Man, why can't I get decnt pics of this thing?! :D Thanks for your honest opinions Leadfoot. :thumb: I'm going to make this a poll to see what everyoen else thinks.
