I picked some bags of coins at auction and in a bag of Lincoln Wheat's there were some Ancients included. Have not been able to identify. Any help would be great. Thanks
The last one appears to be a Thessalian League picture of a nymph from Larissa with a horseman on the back. Probably dating from 344-321 BC. Pretty cool!
The 1st one is a Roman Senate coin from Mysia, Germe. It's a turreted and draped bust of Apollo or Roma on the obverse and a youthful bust of the Roman Senate on the reverse. Also a nice find!
Middle coin is a very corroded small bronze from Alexander III (or one of his successors). Obverse is Herakles wearing a lion skin headdress; reverse is B A with quiver above and club below. Your reverse image is upside down.
Pergamon rather than Germe, I think? I see ΘEAN... on the reverse which would suggest ΘEAN ΡΩMHN with the turreted bust of Roma, like on this example. On the Germe issues you'd be looking for ΓЄΡΜΗ-ΝΩN with a laureate bust of Apollo on that side.
That's really great. I had only posted 3 of the 5 do to I was not even sure they were the real deal. That and the other 2 are pretty corroded. Can still see the outlines of the images but reading any letters or numbers is not so good. Thanks for your great expert identification your awesome. Here are the other 2.
