It's not the photo, itself. It's how you process the photo. After taking the photo, you need to crop out all of the unnecessary background. Then, you need to resize the image. Finally, when you're ready to post the photo, use the "Full Image" option instead of the "Thumbnail" option. The thumbnail really sucks!
