    I looked, but the picture is too small and zooming in greatly distorts the details. Other than narrowing down the possibilities, I'm not sure anybody could be 100% without better photos. But who knows, maybe somebody has sharper vision that me.

    For your sake, I hope to hear that it's a pleasant (post) Christmas surprise!

    Don’t have my books and need better pics but I think the good grade is right. I could even go g-6 there’s pretty decent detail left and not horrible looking surfaces. Nice buy for $50

    I think you got a great buy for $50...I paid a lot more many years ago for a 1794 in a similar condition.

    Yes, but your 1794 is the Liberty Cap version of the large penny and only 35,000 of the little buggers were minted.

    Your mintage is off. Mintage of the 1794 liberty cap cents was 918,521.
