I have here, what I am fairly certain is, a Roman provincial coin. I got it for it's beautiful patina that is greener than Attila the hun right before he died! However, I am limited in my provincial knowledge. Can anyone help me ID this coin? Thanks in advance. 20171220_151743-COLLAGE.jpg

A coin from nicaea, bithynia. Possibly Severus Alexander or Gordian, both are common for this type. I like these coins, hard to come by in great condition

    Nice coloring.

I love provincials, they are more mysterious than imperials.

Imperials are cool for their history, of course.

Easily top five for one of the most common provincials. Not so common are these sweet green patinas.

Wow! Yours all have that same beautiful patina but much more detail. They even have the same weird Greek spelling of Alexander as ALEZANPOC.
