Is there such a thing as a 1955 ddo?

    First, Welcome to Coin Talk.
Yes there are DDO's for the 1955 cent.
The more well known one looks like this and is very easy to tell it is doubled, but your coin is not this variety.

There are a couple other DDO's, but it's hard t tell from your pictures if they match up. I suggest you look at this website for some help. Good luck.

What you have is known as 'The Poor Man's Doubled Die' but it isn't a Doubled Die at all. Just an effect of Die Deterioration

The ddo-oo6 matches pretty well. There is definitely something going on with the second 5. I'll try to get a clearer picture.

It's not a Doubled Die.. Look at the link I provided for you.

The last 5 looks that way because of Die Deterioration.

Paddyman98 I think that's it. Poorman's double die fits. In more ways than one.:bored:
