Cool. I never found one that old in my backyard--or front yard, for that matter.

In the word LIBERTY. The "I" looks like "J".

Oh... The L probably took a hit so the metal was pushed over and is closer to the I

    Not a Mint Error

    Maybe that's what happened.

Yes, but really, it doesn't matter. You clearly enjoy the coin and is certainly a cool find considering the location. Not every coin (or anything else for that matter) needs to be somehow special or worthy of a premium for it to be "valuable" to an individual; collecting what one likes is supposed to be what this hobby is about.

    Welcome to the forum, sir.

Hold up, there, big fella. The 1919 is among the most common of earlier Lincoln cents.

It would probably be wise to start off with providing details and photos as opposed to trying to sell it. After all, most folks are not willing to throw money away on the blind.

Also, the powers that be frown upon offers to sell in the open forum, so perhaps it would be best to first start another thread providing the above and once you know exactly what you have, then consider offering it in the sales section.

Welcome to the forum, Mr. McConnell.
