All right. I'm about to go out and fetch my package and open it at the stroke of midnight.

But should I wait for @John Anthony's cue before sharing the photos? Maybe so.

Anyway, at least *I* will know, in just a -

    Oh, hey, look! It's midnight!

December 17th has begun in the Eastern US time zone.

You know what that means! :):brb:

I am a Creature of the Night. :vamp:

Technically, I am a hotel night auditor. Normally by this time of night I'd just be getting started on my shift, so small wonder I'm awake at midnight on my night off.

What a coincidence I am a hotel night auditor as well.........if the curtains are open.:jawdrop:

Packing material seems to be regular old corrugated cardboard rather than wombat foreskin. Aw, gee, what a letdown.

Oh, well. I suppose wombat foreskin is rather expensive, even Down Under. And then there's the harvesting and processing, and so on...

    But I digress.

    OK.

I'll leave it at this. A sneak peek, if you will.

Can't wait to see what everone else got, and hope my belatedly-launched shipment gets to my recipient soon.

Cellphone pix taken in daylight might look better anyway.

G'night. I'll go look at some other threads, get a midnight snack, and then get back in bed with sleeping spouse and heap o' cats.

    Because tonight, I can.

Mine went out late--the wife dropped it off at the post office yesterday. Apologies to the recipient--end-of-semester is rough, especially when you're both grading and submitting papers.

I'll post pictures of mine soon. I opened it a few days ago--I'd had a bad day and it made my bad day a great day. More by week's end!
