How 'bout you just go pound sand, huh? How would THAT be? Take it and your "only reply positively" crap and dump it in an ocean near someone who cares. MANY many posts here don't DESERVE a scintilla of positivity, because they're fantastically ignorant. Welcome to the fold.
Flattery like that will get you absolutely EVERYWHERE. You want "nice nice"? Read somebody else. You want cold hard reality? I'm your guy.
There's a difference between "cold, hard reality" and "raging asshole." You've been leaning hard to one side lately. I've put you on block for 6 months, so I won't see what I'm sure will be a clever and witty retort.
Kurt, I understand you are having a rough time. Losing one's father is one of the most difficult times in anyone's life. However, maybe you should step away from the computer until you get your emotions in check. Posts from you have been increasingly hard to swallow lately, but I have a feeling it's probably just the result of you going thru grieving process. Ok, I've been thinking that for about a week and feel this is probably a good time to say it.
While I appreciate the kind thought, @mynamespat, it doesn't take a death in my family to make me fed up with the "errors which are not" hyper-meme that is presently infecting ALL coin forums on the Internet. I also belong to NGC's, and I do check in from time to time, but when I read it, I realize it's almost as hopeless as this site is. The YouTube misinformation machine is creating people who somehow figured they need to spend an afternoon or two searching cents and they can get rich. If you can honestly tell me that phenomenon doesn't bug you half to death, you have my admiration. I ALSO don't like people using discussion boards to pump and dump for their chosen niche.
I agree 100%. And like @V. Kurt Bellman I also feel it very rude to not even try to spell or use grammar and punctuation when posting. Sorry just me.
Kurt, I went through the same thing. Our tolerance gets real, real low. This isn't you. I don't care what you say. You'll find that out as you heal, and you will heal. Thing to get a grip on is, we're all in the same boat, we're all doing the same thing, we're all trying to find our way, just like you.
Some days it's no fun to come to any of the coin sites. Just this AM I look at the right side and most are is this a DDO or that a DDO. 12 new topics and 9 aren't worth looking at. What kind of error is or that. Then of course we get worst thumbnail image possible. But other than that, I do get to learn something every so often. I think I'll go pound some sand.
Yup, when I logged on this morning, there are/were two new threads in Ancient Coins and 10 crap threads with "errors which are not". The site CoinTalk is not unique in this. NGC's has been similarly infected. If that's an okay state of affairs with everybody else, I'll back off, but it's NOT okay with me. I'd rather see NO threads than threads like these.
I'd go pound the sand, but I'm about 150 miles from the nearest beach and there aren't any construction sites with sand lying around nearby. Pounding sand strikes me as FAAAAAR more interesting than reading these so-called error threads.
@V. Kurt Bellman Try your local DIY store, That's where I go I couldn't resist I had to start a dumb thread...sandblasting.
