I am trying to attribute this coin but I am not able to find this reverse in Tesorillo, even though the obverse looks like 'LRB". Can anyone help me please? N.B. AE15mm (at it's widest)., 1.16gm.
How did you find that, David? I went to "Tesorillo" , 'Home' page and I clicked on 'types of reverses', and apart from two soldiers with standards I couldn't see anything that resembled my coin. Obviously I am using "Tesorillo" wrongly. How should I use it? BTW - Thank you for the pointer.
I cheated. I already knew what it was so I was able to find it quickly and started with several emperors. I don't use the site myself but it is a good resource. If you have a lot of late Romans I would recommend Handbook of Roman Imperial Coins by David Van Meter. Not a great reference but for around $30 it is much cheaper than other standard references and has loads of types packed into one book.
