A friendly teller showed me two of these after I explained to her that the four halves she had in her tray were silver and that she should keep them. She sold me one for $1 in exchange for the information. She is now a silver stacker. Over time she will do much better on this deal than I will. But I am happy as this is the first I have found crhing...

Start for a short time, then go longer if necessary.

It’s only a Cu-Ni clad proof, which can be easily replaced (or another one found).

    CT, congrats!

I would have given her my number and made a standing deal I’d pay her X times face for whatever silver she accumulates. I’ve this deal with one teller, and it works for both of us.

Well my last four boxes for the week were all skunks, Oh Well win some lose some. 13 pieces of silver for the week isn't too bad. I wish everyone have a wonderful weekend, Also my you all score in what ever type of CRH you indulge in. Until next week.

2 boxes of halves yielded nothing.

$5.00 loose halves got me one 40%er.

Still disappointing... I get two boxes of halves from the same bank every week and once again nothing over a 5 week time frame.

I suggest Half Hunters to hit the tellers hard the rest of the week and next. People might be handing in there change for bills because of holidays.

Bman, I’ve been doing my usual bank hunting for loose or CWR halves, and the last month has yielded me almost no coins. Too many other hunters in my area are active this time of year.

I’m placing a few orders today so I can scratch the CRHing itch over the coming holiday!

1 bank tonight yielded $12.50 in loose halves:

    2, ‘66 JFKs!
    1, ‘90S Cu-Ni clad

    I’m satisfied :D

I placed half orders with 4 different banks tonight, too. Hopefully, $1,600 in halves yields something next week:rolleyes:

How do you get orders for less than a full box? For my bank I have to order at least 2 full boxes for them to be able to place the order with Loomis.

Ive picked up boxes where someone orders them and only buys half or so of the box. I come and swoop in for the rest. The tellers don't particularly enjoy him.

My bank orders in $1000 increments as well. I missed them today. They should still be there on Monday.

I belong to a credit union that allows members to order halves in any dollar amount up to $200 without a fee. All my other banks and CU’s require orders to be in $500 increments (no fees). I’ve found more silver halves in MWRs from the CU with the $200 order limit. I believe the reason is they’re the only place in town with coin counters (3% fee for members) in the lobbies.

    STACK'EM HIGH!!!!

Finally made a decent score. Got $100 in halves from one bank this am. 50 part silver halves! Stopped at another bank on the way home and scored another 15 part silver halves out of 16 rolls. Just over 9.5 ounces on a Saturday morning.

1 bank in a grocery store tonight had 1 mint roll of 2005D halves.

Better than a stick in my eye!

4 banks tonight yielded only 4 Ikes, 3 gold plated Washington quarters, and $5.50 in junk halves.

The teller with the Ikes and quarters told me the kid who exchanged them for cash today also had Indian Head cents, Buffalo nickels, silver dollars, and silver rounds. She convinced him to keep everything except the Ikes and quarters and “find a coin collector” to sell them to...I wish I’d been in line behind him so I could have made a deal.:sorry:

Got back and the bank says they didnt send my halves this week. Strange. But they will be in Friday morning they tell me. I got two dime boxes instead which only produced 1 1962 Roosevelt.
