Okay fellow collectors here is one which is a little smaller. Sorry for the distortion in the picture but I had to use a special (homemade) macro lens, LOL... What's your grade on this Half Dime?

Another nice one Bone. :thumb: I am not real good at grading these, but I would say VF-25? Looks like a nice coin. Shame on that ding or mark on the rim though, not too bad though. But overall, I very nice coin I would say. :thumb: (And btw, the pics are fine, much better than I could ever get, lol.)

    Ben:
I think the reverse is an XF, the obverse looks more like a weak stike.
So, overall VF-35++, oh so near.

    XF details, cleaned, net VF.

i give her an AU-. that reverse is really hammered. a very common marriage die marriage [lm-5]. can you see any clashing above the date or around either side of miss liberty.

on a side note; there are a few known contemporary german silver cast counterfeits of this particular marriage, lm5. i encountered one a few years back but, unfortunately it was correctly attributed/diagnosed and priced in the four figure range and out of my budget.

Since you can't decide if it is VF or AU, here are some certified coins to help. Hopefully they will be in order 30, 40, 45, & 50.

Since I put the pictures up, that coins looks to be a solid 45 with a shot at 50 to me.

Thanks everyone for the grade opinions. :) I've marked the 2x2 flip on this one AU-50. Now you may think that's a little high, but I've got the coin in hand and can see things not captured in the photo.
