Next program should not be State Bird, State Tree, etc but rather State Question. My favorite would be New Mexico's State Question: Red or Green?
Political comments edited or removed. And if you guys plan to illustrate the Kama Sutra suggestion with images, they may soon be history here too. Christian
I think it would be interesting if they produced a one year only run with all the different State Seals on them. Most States have really nice designs.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._state,_district,_and_territorial_seals Think it would be a great choice.
One year for the whole country? A new one every week? Or one a year for 50 years? If the seals thing was used, it would more likely be 5 per year for 10 years.
Here is a variation on the unsearched rolls nonsense and an answer to your question: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Pe...572792?hash=item3d52e26138:g:wz4AAOSwsFpaJZrj In the description: I bought this the same way your seeing it. Is exactly how I'm seeing it. To keep it fun and interesting and give family's something fun to do together. I have not looked at the dates or know there conditions. This would be for a family fun night or Mercury Dime Collectors. Still in its original form and original change from its original owner. This is a huge part of history and I feel fortunate to even be selling it.
The ATB series ends in 2021. They will then do a 10 year series that will end in 2031. Then in 2032 they'll do a 100th anniversary design(s) followed by a new obverse (a la the nickel) or a new reverse (a la the cent). After that they start messing around with the dime.
The last scheduled one and the only scheduled one for 2021 is: Alabama: Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site
I think they should get rid of the paper dollar and MAKE people use the $1 coin. Then use the $2 bill as a commemorative with changing designs every couple of years. Start off in 2019 with the Apollo XI astronauts and Saturn V rocket and capsule.
No, just no. I often have half a dozen $1 bills in my wallet and I certainly wouldn't want that in coins. Making change for a $5 would require 2x$2 bills and a freakin' coin.
Off topic. But I think they could get rid of the 1 and just use the 2. (as well as dollar coins). Current 1's would stay in circulation for a few years anyway. I think there are a couple billion dollar coins in storage. (Pres dollars and Sacs) so the cost of releasing those is minimal.
The dollar bill isn’t going away any time soon and the 2 dollar bill isn’t gonna be used commonly anytime soon either
I think both of these are good ideas, but I lean towards the birds because I don't think youngsters will be at all interested in flags.
If the dollar bill were eliminated, people would be forced to use the 2. It's OK to hypothesize and imagine a future if certain events happen.
No i don't know it for sure. I was stating my prediction(s) I guess, since the OP's question can be answered only with pure speculation.
