I saw a thread in the Ancients Forum entitled "2017 the year in review". It gave me the idea of a 2018 Year in Preview thread.

So what do you think will happen in the world of numismatics in the coming year? The idea just popped into my head and I have not thought about it yet. I'll try to do so.

New record for most expensive coin to sell at auction will happen.

That's actually a really bold prediction considering the record is 10 mil.

I predict some legislation to remove the penny from circulation will be introduced.

I predict (wish is more like it) that Provident will revive the Zombuck series for popular world coins. They'll start with the Chinese Punker Bear.

Hmmm - I do believe your crystal ball is broken Bill. Ya see, it's actually far more likely that you will be the one buying that new record setting coin mentioned above than your last prediction is.

Well if a prediction doesn't appear crazy on paper your just predicting the present.
