Picked up 2 rolls of Jefferson's yesterday with my Wyomings. I found a few die cracks but this one stood out. The letters were minted on top of the image.

    What do you think?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

If it is a Planchet Error, what does that mean? Is it collectible or worthless? Worth getting graded?

    Thanks.

Wow, cool. Looks like a planchet error, not sure though. I don't think it would be worth getting slabbed, but with it being new and all I'd put it on ebay, might make a pretty decent summ on it. That's if you want to sell it, might be something worth holding on too. Nice find! :thumb:

Just a side note (sorry to be picky) but... it isn't 'stamped' it is minted.

You are right Cody! It is a Lamination peel due to a defective planchet.

I am sure that it is collectible to some Collectors as the Presidential Dollars are new this year! However, any value over it's face value would be fairly minimal and not worth having it graded.

that is very neat, and nice pictures too! :thumb:i expect error values to go down since the mint is very low quality on their coins now days.
