1972 error??

    1512881059389845488227.jpg Im not sure if this is a manufacturing error or if someone did it. It looks like it was made this way to me. If possible please try to give me a value estimate

    Its post mint damage see how the metal push up atop of the minted letters. If before it would have imprinted over the metal.

    First, welcome to the neighborhood!

    This coin is obviously post-mint damage (PMD). Maybe you should try to learn more about the minting process before you start searching for errors and varieties. Otherwise, you're going to find millions of coins similar to this that have been damaged while in circulation. I'm not trying to discourage you, but you've really got to ask yourself, "How could this have happened at the Mint?" and "If this was really a Mint error, why aren't there millions more in circulation just like it?"
