Is this worth buying?

My first impression of this coin, was the silvering, is it solid metal, silvered or authentic?

I'm certainly no expert of these, but my first impression is that the relief is much lower than any other one that I've ever seen.

 

I’m not even the least bit familiar with this type but my gut says authentic and real silver. However, flips like this usually mean overpriced. They try to make up the difference between actual value and what they’re charging with information.

 

Interesting coin, but I have no clue. I'd like to know as well!

Looks authentic. This is a rare variation of Gadhaiya Paisa coinage. It is not a pleasing specimen. Unless you are a specialist you may prefer a common variety but with enough quality that you can actually see what is depicted on the coin.

He has both the common type and the variant you are showing here. That may help you develop an understanding if you want this version and what the price range is, to help you negotiate for the example you originally posted.

 

I ended up buying the Thrace , Sestos.
It is soaking in some distilled water, with a Severina.
