Maybe you can tell me something else I've got like seven or eight 1955 these I've got a couple that I think are doubles I'm not for sure because I don't have my magnifying mirror around my microscope anymore and I'm working on getting another one now do you know of any other way you can magnify the 55 large enough to tell if it's double or not
The "big one" should be visible to the naked eye, even for someone with less than stellar vision. There are a few lesser doubled dies for the date/mint that would require magnification, but hold nowhere near the value of the aforementioned. Additionally, one will commonly encounter what is referred to as the "poor man's doubled die" which isn't a doubled die at all, but simply displays due deterioration doubling and carries no premium (aside from eBay-type shysters).
