Nearly a couple of weeks before Christmas, I found this bronze coin of Alexander. I think it's a life-time coin of Alex III. It weighs 6.73 g. Hope it's as valuable as a silver Tet. Alebro O.jpg

Try to find it in wildwinds under Alexander III , at least a dozen different of these bronze coins.

Here's mine, its lifetime and rare:

I have a few AE Alexander III's. I am under the impression that Bronzes of Alexander are all lifetime.

    Nice,

These were some of the first ancient greek coins I ever owned. But I have not really collected these since I decided to focus on King Philip II bronze coins.

As a general rule I think the ones with BA / BAS were posthumously issued - at least according to SNG Alpha Bank but I have not taken a comprehensive search to see if there are exceptions to this. Handbook of Green Coinage volume 6 does show similar ones with Alexandrou reverse also minted under Alexander IV.

The one above, with SA appears to be scarcer, at least from acsearch.

It does look kinda silvery in the photo, I agree (partly why I need to take a new one) - actually it's just a very brassy bronze.
