I am pretty sure this is post mint because the chance of me finding an error coin this old seems low to me. Anyway, it doesnt look like a scratch, so any ideas what happened to it? (The thing on the cheek, scanner can pick up a lot more scratches then I can.)

Also the thing on her cheek is poking out of her cheek, not into. So I am 90% sure it isnt a scratch.

Could be from an automatic counting machine. Those things tend to make fairly odd scratches and gouges on most coins.

That is what I thought, but it appears to be poking out of her skin, almost like a cud.

There was a kid's bank in the 60s that caused that kind of damage to any coin put in it. I have several coins with that central swirled damage on them.

Thanks :) I knew it must be post mint, but I still got a little anxious to find my first error.
