Ah, ha. Got my war Jeffersons through 1944 with this addition. No full steps on this one, but a nice one in hand.
It's impossible to say which of these is "newest". They both arrived in today's mail. The second one was an educated eBay gamble, based on this picture from the seller. I fully expected to have to send it back - but I got lucky!
Someone left these laying around about a century ago. I figured they probably weren't coming back for them and snatched them up. lol 1893 S and a 1917 S.
I posted these in the under $50 thread, but here are my newest. Plus a silver art bar for fun. Got it for .25 cents below spot. I'll take it.
I've been on a bit of a buying spree lately. I intended to slow down, but then this coin showed up. As a Peace dollar collector, I had no choice but to also acquire this coin from de Francisci. No worries. I can stop any time I want.
The 2017 1oz Proof Gold Buffalo could be the lowest mintage of the series ! According to Numismatic News the US Mint has only sold 14,770 as of Nov. 26th, 2017. I just picked up two more NGC PF70's
I purchased my first peace dollars! I dont know how to clean the one on the right. I'll just leave it be. She has more detail compared to the shiny one. I'm enjoying collecting and learning. Thank you all for this forum and help! (Can you clean them safely?)
Clean it safely by soaking in pure acetone for a couple of hours. NO other type of cleaning. You might hurt it.
