    My US pieces only go back to 1819, but my oldest is also a rare die variety.

    1783 Double Head Washington....came back slabbed 'details, rim damage'.
    Still, glad to have it. $30, or so, with shipping.

    This low grade and corroded 1793 Chain Cent is one of my oldest U.S coins.
    In spite of it not being perfect, It still occupies a special place in my collection:)

    Can anyone offer a grade for this coin (lettered edge)?

    I want to believe it's F12, but can't quite make the argument.
