We have had a rush on favorites lists with a whole month left. Are none of you planning on adding coins in December. I understand the desire for cash or NYINC if you are going there (I'm not). I hope this means no competition in pcoming auctions.

I like 3, 4 and 5 best.

 

Without looking at the author of this thread, I knew immediately from the images of the coins it was @Orfew. Quality coins my friend. Quality!

As for adding coins in December, I have my eye on a couple in the upcoming CNG auction, but other than that I will try to restrain the spending until January.

Those are some dandys to be sure! The Bare headed Vespasian took the place of Otho.. indeed a special coin!

 

That Eleanor is to die for, would be my #1 any day !

I like the two vespasians a lot too, especially the style on the Ephesus specimen is amazing (even though the bare head on #1 is impressive)

And of course the François I° ecu for sentimental reasons....

I can't argue with a year end top ten list that has two Vespasians included. Stellar list! 2017 was good to you.

That's a terrific top-10 @Orfew!!! Naturally, I love the gold coins but the
Flavians are my favorites, especially #'s 3 and 5!!

Just plain AWESOME @Orfew ! I REALLY like your selection: Historical placemarkers, killer rarities (makes 'em SPECIAL), and, well, the Dew-Drops of the Sun are always great ! You have really drifted away from your Seutonius Twelve collection focus. You need to get back to that so you do not suck all the wind out of the collecting room. I want some of those!

I think you need to go after a Vindex to augment your real 12 focus (here are some teasers...)

Yeah, I know there are others here that would KILL me on quality. I just got fascinated about this guy stirring up the Nero MUCK that he caused at the end of the Julio-Claudian Dynasty.

 

Thanks Brian. I am still collecting the 12 but I am being very selective about what coins to add. The fact is the 12 is already a very good set imho and so I am in no rush to add to it. There are a few though that I am actively pursuing as upgrades.

I would love to add a Vindex to my collection. I have seen a few that were interesting but I have not found the right one yet. I really like your examples.
