Getting back on track, it should be either a $2.50 Indian or a 1927 coin. Here's the latter...

That is exactly the coin I was going to post. Good choice!

    But to stay on track:

    1921... currently, my only Morgan

BTW, @Skyman I love that Bennington commem. I went to Bennington while on a vacation in Vermont back in 2013, they have a war memorial there (it's an obelisk like the Washington Monument) and they had a bunch of local artifacts on display, including that coin. It was a really cool little town, and that coin has been on my short list ever since. One of these days I'll see if I can't scoop one up.

I believe it was 1919 or a half dollar commemorative

Nope. #5945 was a 1921 Alabama Centennial half dollar. #5946 was a 1921 Morgan. #5947 was my 1921 quarter dollar. So, getting back on track:

    I stand corrected :) I see that now it's 1917 or a Standing Liberty 25¢

It's cool to play off of any date that is shown on the coin. The Commemoratives make it fun. They may show several dates.

Dang, I did it again. I keep thinking denomination of the posted coin is one of the leads. Sorry about that!
