    the picture looks more silver in nature

    Aside from some possible lighting artifacts, this is one harshly cleaned coin.

    Thank you LuxUnit, I was just getting ready to answer Treashunt's question myself..You beat me to it :)
    Yeah I see that too tommy....That's the way I got it...Yes kkathy, it does look kinda silverfish....I have another cent with the flying eagle on the obverse and it looks silver too.

    I know someone who used to use "Brasso" to clean copper coins he dug and they took on this effect. Uggg, finally convinced him to stop. But not soon enough though. He also dug a 1803 large Cent and ruined it.
