1983P Kennedy Half

    Die polishing marks.

    not the scratches, the actual lips of kennedy. compare it to another kennedy, not the same.

    Yes I know. But I think that is due to the excessive die polishing. Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong though - wait for more opinions.

    Looks like it might be Die Deterioration as well as excessive Die Polishing! However, I have seen some Jefferson Nickels with similar striations in the fields and on some details that was apparently due to grease.

    Yes! Although it may not have any additional value over a normal 1983-P Kennedy Half, it is still collectible and a nice conversation piece.

    I'd keep it, only costing ya 50 cents. Really neat too. Nice find. :thumb:

    possibly die erosion.

    That's die erosion. There may be some mechanical doubling damage in there as well
