It's a 1957d wheat cent the right side tip of the wheat has an extra tip is that considered a doubled die?

I'll call in @paddyman98 and @Rick Stachowski and even @Fred Weinberg but I would guess a small lamination but definitely not a DOUBLED die ;). Oh also we will need a full picture of the obverse too.

    Thanks,
    Jacob

The OP is asking if it is a DDR. Why would you need an image of the obverse?

I hear that in 98% of the threads I read without a full picture of both the obverse and reverse so I figured it would save some of you guys the time of asking and waiting, also from my understanding die markers or variety?

    Thanks,
    Jacob

I also noticed on the adverse side lettering is it either die deterioration or is that actually doubled die?

Obverse side, in god, the D, it's faint but I see a line in it. On the adverse side, on both tips of the" wheat " , something is not sure what it would be called. The with ONE CENT it looks maybe die deterioration or slight doubling not sure

MUCH BETTER Shots!!! Unfortunately, I don't see anything that would lead me to think it came from a Doubled Die, but Rick said he'd be back in the morning. As for the Die Chip . . . well for it to have any real significance, you have to consider its size, positioning on the coin, AND the condition of the coin itself. As such, I think it falls short on all three counts; for a 1957, that one has been around the block a few to many times. But there is a qualifier, the above is just "in my opinion" and others may see things differently. Regardless of the outcome, you should be pleased with your much improved picture taking!

Go back to read post # 15 again.

    And again.
