I got this 12mm coin, but I cannot read all the letters neede to identify it.

It's Severus Alexander. IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG / SPES PVBLICA

My mistake was not intentional. I appologise for strange mistake.
The diameter of the coin is 19mm.

 

That makes more sense. Must be a denarius with a lot of mineral deposits and/or corrosion due to impure metal.

 

I have one of septimius Severus in similar condition.

The style of the bust and reverse have no similarities, though...

 

haha..i was replying to Ancient Coin Hunter's post on Sept. Severus.

 

I think mine is silver because it has a couple highlights but the copper is corroded
