Dear friends, Hope you all are well! Recently I bought the following banknote of India. After searching both online resources and paper money catalog, I concluded that it is a Pick 25b. Can anyone share their thought on this because I cannot find much information about this banknote? Here is the description for Pick 25b: India 1 Rupee. 1940. Blue-gray and multicolor. Dated coin depicting King George VI at right. Signature C. E. Jones. Red serial #. Any comments or input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Best regards
Cool note. George VI was the last Emperor of India. Red Serial seems to be Pick 25b. PMG has a free world paper money price guide online, I'd check it out. May I ask where you purchased the note?
Hi Mitch, Thank you for your reply. Any information will be helpful. I bought it from a local dealer over here and not from ebay. I could not find much information and what I noticed is that all of the image examples for Pick 25b shows prefix D and mine is prefix E but on the lower end i.e. E/6. Hence, I am hoping if anyone can help verify this. Thank you. Best regards
