Yeah, I've seen them before. The fact that you have posted it in the under $50.00 thread is blowing my mind!! The average price for these on HA is between $800.00 and $3,500.00. Where did you find that piece?

For originals. I believe this is one of the later pieces. I could be wrong though. @dcarr

The ones I posted are small plaques. The ones you are seeing on Heritage are much larger. I could post those also but they don't fit this thread.

Thanks for answering. What is the size of yours? I think they are pretty cool. That's why I was asking for more information. I like to learn. :)

The silver one is about 2x2.5
    The bronze is about 2.5x3.5

This was 34.90. I posted it in the thread Let's see your newest acquisitions!
(#21512) but I thought that picture was too dark.

This is a prime candidate for de-slabbing. There is little price change between AU58 (as graded) and MS63 - MS64. Most of the value has gone to the TPG to have it slabbed. If it is slabbed or not, or AU58 or MS64, the price is about the same. So there is no incentive for me to keep it in the plastic.

This arrived a few days ago. It's one of the most fully struck non-proof Buffalo's I've seen. The top feather and the hair knot is fully struck on the obverse, the reverse shows full fur on the buffalo's head and a fully split tail. Both the obverse and reverse show lot's of evidence of the original lathe lines from the design transfer. I was watching it for a while on eBay and was surprised it did not sell, so I contacted the seller and asked if they would be willing to flexible on the price and they sent me an offer that I accepted. :)

There is something going on around the Mint Mark that does not match anything on Wexler or Variety Vista. What do you guys think? It looks kinda like the remnants of a D to the SE of the primary MM as well as to the N.

Looks close to the 009, perhaps you have found a new variety on this specimen ?
Looking closer I see what you're saying placement of mm is different, this one I would send in and see if it's not a new discovery.

To me it looks like wrpm -12, Die placement is correct, the definition of the se area of the mm match.
Nice Buffalo! Are you gonna send that one in for grading?

It's in a PCGS MS-65 Rattler holder right now. I plan to keep it there. Although I might send it off to James Wiles and then to Wexler, to see what they think of the possible new RPM. That would really be awesome if it turned out to be a new one. :)
