There is no way that small triangular piece of missing metal is anything but PMD. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it! Chris
I believe in order to get a definite answer to this we need Ed Woods opinion. I sure he most probably tied up at dinner with some head of state ,or posing for this years "person of the year"..."Time Magazine " cover...... Don't tell" POTUS " Ed wants to surprise him with an autographed copy on the back 9 next weekend.
Bloody Hell with Ed. Besides.....I don't think Ed knows how to play golf. For that matter, neither do I. Among the most stupids of sports.
Well Ken I'm sure you could caddy for him,and perhaps he could school you in grading and chasing a little white ball around 50 acres of grass.....
Ed is flying in on an F-18. They cleared all the runways just for his landing. He should be here anytime.
So you guys are now saying die chip because of the way it lines up back side of the '9' to the tip of the '2' ? How about PMD ? It's just the way it lines up exactly between the two numbers.
It is PMD - part of the "9" has been sheared away moved forming a burr. If it were a die chip the area between the "9" and burr would also be filled. Look at the "6" which is nothing but an upside down "9". Notice how the arc continues in a fluid curve. Then look at the "9" notice how the arc is straight where it was sheared but if you were to push the burr back to the digit - it would form a "9" with a fluid arc.
