I have a 1971 D lincoln penny and on the reverse side the word if in "UNITDED STATES of AMERICA" is pretty much not there. Can some one tell me anything about it? 1124170040.jpg 1124170038.jpg

    Yes
The first issue - on the Reverse is Due to what is Called a Struck Through Grease or Struck Through Debris Issue (I say debris because some members don't believe that grease or oil can get into the Die surface when wiped clean) When the incuse areas of the Die, in this case the bottom anvil Die, gets debris the letters look weak because it's not a complete full strike.

Second issue - Did you notice the Misaligned Die Strike on the Obverse side?
