From the news we get up here it seems there are places hit by the storms that simply will not return to normal. I lived about 20 miles from a town whose somewhat dilapidated downtown was wiped out by a tornado about 20 years ago. Today the town is absolutely beautiful with not a single old building in poor repair. For about 10 years of that time, things were rough there but now people are proud of their new town. Perhaps the sign that this will be the story of the Caribbean will be when the tourists return. I suspect then there will be people who remember fondly the peaceful days without electronics and tourists.
Cool coins from a couple of cool guys! I remember both of them, especially that awesome AP drachm. Glad to see you posting again TIF! Thank goodness you have electricity! We went without power for 12 hours last year and it seems like a catastrophe just short a zombie apocalypse...eclipse only by the time we had to go three days without internet service! LOL!
Those two are magnificient @TIF ! I particularily like the second, because of its provenance and the three figures standing just like they'd be rocking while singing gospel at church office ! GREAT ! All the best from France Q
