Speaking of Star Notes, I got one from my local Publix today. Since there were several people in the line behind me, I stepped away to put the single note I got in change in my wallet. It was then that I noticed that it was a brand-spanking-new Star Note, and I could tell that it was probably from a pack the cashier had in her drawer. I was all set to ask her for the rest she probably had in her register, but I was too late. She had already started checking through the next customer. C'est la vie! Chris

I once got a crisp star note from a cashier at Bass Pro Shops and could see it was a whole pack in the drawer. I asked her to exchange as many ones as she could and she looked at me like I was trying to rob her. I tried to explain to her why but she was just dumbfounded. I was insistent and asked a few times. Manager saw what was going and started walking over towards us. I started walking away before he got all the way over there but I looked over at him and said aloud "I just wanted some star notes!". He too looked at me all dazed and confused.
