This is a morgan dollar i finished this week with the subject being a young boy with long flocks of hair and a floppy cap...Based on the street gang boys of New York during the 1800,s...
Wow...thats beautiful billzach. You've got to have steadier hands and alot more patience than I have. How long does it take to finish one like that?
Just out of curiosity, How in the heck did you do that? A dremel tool? I believe that is called a hobo coin now The next question becomes why?
I use the same tools as gun, knife and jewerly engravers use..The reason why i recarve coins is that there is a big demand for them in the art world as well the coin world...Modern coin carvings sell for as low as $5 to over $5,000..
Suh-weet! Very awesome! And beautiful artwork, another nice peice finished bill! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Phoenix

that is really cool you can do that to the old coins and bring the life out of them again, nice work! :kewl:
How does your mind work? Certainly not like mine but I truly admire what you produce. Me - I'm Mr. "Can't Draw a straight line with a ruler". Love your stuff and always glad to see more.
On the scale of 1-10 as being a artist, i,m a [-1 ]..When i try to draw a face with a pencil it looks like a 1 year old child did it, in fact most 1 year kids can out draw me..But give me a hand graver and a image in my head or a picture in front of me and things start to shape up on a coin..I can,t explain it, i can,t draw a face with a pencil , but i can carve one out with a hand graver on metal
